About us
Serving the Needs of Our Community
The Team Ty Foundation was formed in fond memory of Elmer Tyrone Ridley.
July 1947 – March 2015.
It’s our mission to serve the urgent needs of our community. We advocate for the well-being and needs of the Central, Northern, Southside and Hampton Roads populations of the State of Virginia. We aim to provide and support the construction of new and/or rehabilitated transitional and permanent housing for female ex-offenders, college planning for high school students and first-time adult college bound students and research-intensive/services-oriented resources, training, and support to minimize the occurrence and impact of trauma on individuals and communities. We believe these programs and services will enable the recipients to achieve and promote sustainable self-sufficiency and educational opportunities.
